ABOUT THIS FUND
The ABF Hong Kong Bond Index Fund is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that was launched by HSBC Investment Funds (Hong Kong) Limited and is managed by HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong) Ltd. Its investment strategy focuses on Hong Kong's fixed-income markets, specifically targeting Hong Kong Dollar-denominated, fixed-rate debt instruments. These securities, which must have a remaining maturity of over 18 months, are issued or guaranteed by the government, its agencies, sponsored entities, quasi-governmental bodies, or supranational financial institutions. The fund strictly invests in investment-grade obligations, requiring ratings of at least BBB- from S&P and Fitch, and Baa3 from Moody's. To accurately track the performance of the Markit iBoxx ABF Hong Kong Index, the fund employs a representative sampling methodology. This Hong Kong-domiciled fund commenced operations on June 10, 2005.
