The Amplify SILJ Covered Call ETF (SLJY) is structured to provide investors with a blend of robust income and capital appreciation. It achieves this by focusing on junior silver mining companies while simultaneously employing a strategic covered call options writing approach. The fund tactically writes out-of-the-money (OTM) calls, aiming to capitalize on market volatility and generate a targeted 18% annualized income from these options. Crucially, this strategy also preserves exposure to the growth potential of smaller silver miners, primarily through investments in the Amplify Junior Silver Miners ETF (SILJ), its constituent equities, and various silver exchange-traded products (ETPs).
